Pride from Our National Athletes at the European Wrestling Championships!
Bediha Gün, a master's student in the Department of Physical Education and Sports at Bartın University, and our graduate Buse Tosun Çavuşoğlu made us proud with their outstanding achievements at the 2025 European Wrestling Championships held in Bratislava, Slovakia.
Bediha Gün won the silver medal in the women’s 59 kg category, adding to her previous four European bronze medals and reaching a new milestone in her career.
Buse Tosun Çavuşoğlu secured the bronze medal in the 68 kg category after defeating her Albanian opponent with a technical superiority (10-0) in the repechage round and then claiming victory over her Ukrainian rival (9-6) in the medal match.
We wholeheartedly congratulate our athletes and wish them continued success. We are proud to see our students representing our university and country with such excellence on the international stage.
