Movement and Fun in an Impressive Event
As part of the Community Service Practices course, students from the Bartın University Physical Education and Sports Department organized an engaging event at Cumhuriyet Square, bringing together movement and fun. The final event, held under the slogan "Movement for Everyone, Fun for Everyone," took place on December 30, 2024, with broad participation.
The event featured a variety of activities appealing to people of all ages. Activities such as Jenga, mind and intelligence games, open-air chess, mangala, darts, educational games, Hacivat-Karagöz shows, and tennis attracted great interest. Additionally, physically engaging activities like badminton, tug-of-war, volleyball, matrak, face painting, and shooting competitions provided participants with a fun-filled and active day.
With the participation of clowns and Snow White, colorful moments were created for children. The event aimed to promote an active lifestyle in the community. Assist. Prof. Sevim Handan YILMAZ, the coordinator of the event, emphasized that such organizations not only enhance students' awareness of contributing to society but also improve their organizational skills.
Assist. Prof. Sevim Handan YILMAZ stated, “This event allowed our students to apply what they learned in the course, understand the importance of contributing to society, and learn while having fun. I would like to thank Assist. Prof. Murat SARIKABAK, who made significant contributions to this valuable event, and everyone who participated in our program.”
Organized by the Bartın University Physical Education and Sports Department, the event provided an unforgettable experience for both students and participants alike.
