A Sports-Themed Event Held at Kutlubey Kindergarten

Students from Bartın University’s Department of Physical Education and Sports organized a fun-filled, sports-themed event at Kutlubey Kindergarten as part of their Community Service Practices course. The event was coordinated by Assist. Prof. Sevim Handan YILMAZ and carried out by Gülşen Deniz, Sevda Karaaslan, Esra Biçen, Mehmet Can Araz, and Mehmet İnce, who spent a delightful day with the kindergarteners.

The event began with a screening of the animated film Fast Feet, aimed at introducing children to the importance of sports and an active lifestyle in an engaging way. Following the film, the children participated in educational games that enhanced their physical and social skills. Activities included a balloon-popping contest, musical chairs, handkerchief grab, duck walk race, balloon carrying contest, ball carrying contest, and egg-and-spoon race.

The day was further brightened with a clown performance and a music show, bringing joy and laughter to the young participants. At the conclusion of the event, Assist. Prof. Sevim Handan YILMAZ highlighted the importance of such initiatives in fostering children’s development and raising awareness of sports in the community. She expressed her gratitude to the students for their dedication, while the kindergarten administration shared their appreciation for the collaboration.
